Bossier City Makers Fair Kicks Off This Saturday

Come to the Louisiana Boardwalk this Saturday for Bossier City’s first Makers Fair! This free event will boast approximately 80 vendors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets.

Artisans of stained glass, knitting, soap, jewelry, pottery and paintings will be displaying their wares at the Saturday event. There will even be live music, food, face painting and other activities for the whole family!

Ashley Davis, marketing manager of the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets, says their venue is perfectly suited for a large-scale makers fair, like this weekend’s event.

“I have always wanted to have a large Makers Fair- type event here at Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets,” Davis said. “We have the ideal location along the riverfront, but just have never done anything of this magnitude before with outside craftsman. Partnering with Chris Graham seemed like the perfect fit for the first, of hopefully many, Bossier City Makers Fairs.”

The Makers Fair has been a long-time dream of Graham, owner and manager of the Bossier City Farmers Market and Night Market. Graham says he is “looking forward to bringing (the fair) to Bossier and keeping it in Bossier.”
“I’m anxious to see it come to fruition this Saturday.”

Join us Saturday to encourage the growth of our makers, artists, crafters, and musicians, all while supporting the local community. For more on this event, check out their Facebook page!
