1. Shop at the Bossier City Farmer’s Market

The Bossier City Farmer’s Market has been around for several years and is open every year on Saturday’s starting in April through November from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is held behind the Pierre Bossier Mall off of E. Texas Street in their parking lot. Not only is it free to go to, but they always have a variety of local vendors selling fresh produce, salsa, baked goods, handmade arts and crafts and so much more! There is a little bit of everything for anyone, and it’s a great way to support small local businesses. If you like good food and hand-crafted trinkets at awesome prices, the Bossier City Farmer’s Market is definitely the place for you to shop at this summer.

2. Wednesday Night Trivia at Whiskey Roadhouse

K94.5’s morning show, The Morning Madhouse, hosts the city’s largest trivia night at the Whiskey Roadhouse bar every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. It’s located inside Horseshoe Casino before you reach the casino entrance. There are big prizes given to the top three winning teams like complimentary buffet passes, concert tickets and hotel stays. Grab your friends and your appetites and head over to Whiskey Roadhouse for some food, drinks and lots of fun!

3. Go Glow Bowling at Holiday Lanes

If you’re looking for something to do with friends or with the whole family, Glow Bowling is the perfect activity for you! Every Friday and Saturday night, Holiday Lanes transforms the alley into a neon masterpiece with lots of fun music! Prices vary based on per hour or per person. You can rent lanes for large parties. Don’t forget to enjoy some delicious pizza or a juicy burger from Striker’s Café inside the bowling alley.

4. Swim at the Dare Ultra Pool and Day Club

For the 21+ crowd looking for some fun in the sun, Horseshoe Casino offers a unique swimming and club experience all thrown into one! Enjoy music, occasional live performances, a resort-style pool and delicious cocktails while getting your tan on. Admission to the Dare Ultra Pool is only $5 dollars for non-guests of the hotel. The pool is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day during the summer season. This is definitely one of the coolest things to do in Bossier City on those sunny summer days.

5. Enjoy a Concert at the CenturyLink Center

CenturyLink Center is the perfect place to see your favorite artists perform or be a part of a special event. With various food options to choose from like Rotolo’s pizza, hamburgers, cheese fries, nachos or popcorn, you won’t go hungry during your evening. 6. Summer Camps for the Kids

Summer can seem to last forever for kids, especially when they don’t have anything to keep them entertained. You can sign up your kids for a number of great summer camps in Bossier. One cool summer camp to check out is hosted by Bossier Parish Community College. Their Camp Cavs camps are scheduled for the months of June and July.
