1. First Bomber Out of Barksdale on 9/11 Has Legacy Continued Through Daughter by Caroline Reed 

On Sept. 22, 2001, a group of Air Force bombers left Barksdale Air Force Base. Leading the fleet of the 20th Bomb Squadron as the first plane out was Lieutenant Colonel Stephen L. Heflin. 18, years later, his daughter is continuing his legacy.
