October Events in Bossier You Should Check Out

October is a month of celebration. A time to celebrate the cooler weather, gatherings and festivals all happening in and around the city. Just this month, you can enjoy a good scare, perfect your cupcake decorations and walk with zombies. Either way a majority of these events in Bossier promise plenty of fall family fun.

Necromanor Haunted House Seasons in Hell

Begin your month with a fright at the Necromanor Haunted House. They are offering a brand new show that promises to scare anyone and everyone brave enough to enter the “Season of Hell.” Tickets are $10 opening night.

Sixth Annual South Bossier Family Fun Event

Calling all SO BO Families! Join the community and enjoy a family event. This day, hosted by the Bryant Lee Foundation, encourages all residents to spend a Saturday meeting neighbors and engaging in food and fellowship. T-shirts and raffle tickets are available for purchase.

Bossier City Makers Fair

Meet makers from near and far during a Saturday fair at the Louisiana Boardwalk. Be prepared to shop one-of-a-kind items as this event will feature more than 100 vendors. Admission and parking are free.

State of Public Safety

BPCC Theatre Presents Urinetown the Musical 

This play promises an “outrageous perspective, wickedly modern wit with the sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter.” Set in a futuristic town, this story takes audiences to a community forced to use public amenities and a business is profiting on the citizen’s most basic needs. When the community revolts, comedy ensues.

Pawtoberfest Mashup

For one night, skaters from around the area will battle to settle the age old question of which is the superior breed – cats or dogs? Skaters will assume their choice to represent each of the groups. Watch the battle, but bring pet supplies for a discount on tickets. This is event is hosted by the Twin City Roller Derby. Tickets are $10 or $45, which includes admission to the event, a T-shirt and a spot in an upcoming freight train clinic.

SBC Zombie Walk – East Bank Outbreak

There’s an outbreak in the East Bank District. If you are feeling “dead” excited, dress in your favorite zombie attire and join in on the walk. Enjoy food trucks, vendors, a costume contest and more during the event. Pets are also welcome.

Kids Hayride

Get the fall feels during a hayride at the Red Chute Shotgun Club. Hop on a hayride or paint a pumpkin. Tickets are $10 per person and all supplies are included.

Halloween Cupcake Decorating Class for Kids

Bring your little bakers out to get creative with cupcakes. Each guest will learn to create six cupcakes using a variety of techniques. Spots are limited. Tickets are $25 per child.

Halloween GleauxRide

Get your “gleaux” on with a special Halloween ride around the East Bank District. The ride will be about five miles. Plenty of food and drink stops will be along the route. Tickets range from $17.30 to $30, which includes one “gleauxing” cruiser bike.
