As we enter Mardi Gras season, there’s plenty of seasonal and non-seasonal events to enjoy. From parades and float loading parties to high school sports and a comedy festival, Bossier Parish has plenty to offer this February!
MARDI GRAS EVENTS
Krewe of Centaur Loading Party
This Mardi Gras tradition will see the Krewe of Centaur open its den to the public to load their colorful floats with throws. There will be lots of food, music and fun for all ages.
When: Feb. 2 at 5 p.m.

Krewe of Centaur Parade
The Krewe of Centaur is one of the largest parading krewes in Louisiana, and their giant, colorful parade is a must-see! The parade will begin, rain or shine, at Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport. The massive parade proceeds along Shreveport’s parade route, which follows Clyde Fant Parkway south from downtown Shreveport, turns right onto Shreveport-Barksdale Highway and ends in the Broadmoor neighborhood at East Kings Highway Park. The parade includes dozens of huge, colorful floats, marching bands, dance troupes and more.

Krewe of Gemini Loading Party
Come celebrate Mardi Gras with the Krewe of Gemini. See their floats up close, collect fabulous themed beads, and enjoy some fabulous food and drinks!
When: Feb. 9 at 5 p.m.
Where: 2101 E. Texas St. in Bossier City

Krewe of Gemini Parade
The Krewe of Gemini XXXV Grand Parade will roll along its full route from downtown Shreveport to the East Kings Highway Park. The Krewe of Gemini is the first parading Krewe in modern times in Shreveport and Bossier City. In 1990, the first Krewe of Gemini parade was held in Shreveport-Bossier. Today, masked revelers on floats, marchers and horseback riders respond to the age-old cry “Throw me something, Mister!” by tossing beads, toys and trinkets.

LHSAA Wrestling State Championship
The Louisiana High School Association State Wrestling Championship is coming Bossier City. Come out and support these ladies and gentlemen as they battle for a championship.

The Aaron Lewis Acoustic Tour
Aaron Lewis grew up in Springfield, Vermont, listening to his grandparents’ country 8-tracks. Those roots inspired the multi-platinum founder to return to his origins for the #1 Billboard Country Album debut Town Line and Sinner, as well as Billboard’s #1 Hot Country Song debut “Am I The Only One,” only the 9th time since 1958. Having recorded with George Jones, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Alison Krauss and Vince Gill, Lewis has put a traditionalist brand on his outlier country.

Second Annual Red Carpet Black Tie Event
The 2nd Annual African American History Celebration Red-Carpet Black-Tie Dinner, hosted by the Community Promise Organization, will feature live performances by Windstorm Band, Vikie Baker, Carter & Crew and Comedian B-Phatt.
When: Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m.

Bulls Bands and Barrels 2024

LoCo Fest 2024
30 comedians have submitted their entries for a chance to compete to be crowned champion of LoCo Fest with two shows for the top 10 to showcase their talents and you will decide the winner. East Bank Theatre has teamed up with Flying Heart Brewing for food, beverage and an after party where will be announcing the winner after both shows!
