Free Kids Bowling

4th of July Kids Craft Night

The Chick-fil-A restaurant is one of the most popular quick service restaurants in all of Bossier City, and they go above and beyond for the community by offering free special activities for families. This month, they’re offering a free craft night for kids themed around Independence Day.

When: July 2, 5-7 p.m.

Keep it Poppin Pelican Paint Party

The Painted Edge is going to “Keep It Poppin” this July 4th with a design featuring a Patriotic Pelican, proudly holding the American flag in his beak, while sitting in the Bayou. Fireworks light up the background of this Americana-themed painting is on a 16×20 gallery-wrapped canvas for only $50 per guest.

4th of July Festival

Celebrate freedom and community spirit this Independence Day with the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets 4th of July Festival. The event features an evening filled with excitement and fun for the whole family. Enjoy bounce houses and delightful face painting for the kids, while food trucks serve up delicious treats for everyone to savor. Cap off the night with a mesmerizing fireworks display.

When: July 4, 5-9:30 p.m.

KTBS-3 Freedom Fest

Cypress Lake and South Bossier Park are two of six locations where the amazing fireworks will be on display the night of July 4 and simulcast on KTBS 3.

Celebrating God and County is what Freedom Fest is all about — thanking God we live in a free country and honoring the men and women who serve in our military to keep it that way.

Cypress Lake will be a family-friendly spot which means no alcohol allowed. The park will open at 8 a.m. for normal operations before everything kicks into gear at 5 p.m. The free event will feature live entertainment. There will be no outside grills allowed. Look for designated parking and viewing areas. The main viewing location will be on the beach. It’s important to note that this location will be capacity limited for safety reasons. There will also be a floatilla on the water and there will be limited parking for boat trailers.

South Bossier Park is a crowd favorite for fireworks viewing on Independence Day. Nearly 2,000 people poured into the park in 2023 to take advantage of the food trucks and live music before the fabulous fireworks display. There will be an expanded family area this year with a large tent featuring worship teams playing music, bounce houses, and cornhole boards.

Foam Fun Event

The Foam Fun event is perfect for the whole family to enjoy. There will be a designated area called foam zone where you can dance and have a blast in the foam while vibing to kid-friendly music.

Red River Balloon Rally

The CenterPoint Energy Red River Balloon Rally, proudly presented by the Louisiana Office of Tourism, invites you to experience a world where colors fly and dreams soar. Take to the skies with tethered balloon rides and bask in the glow of the evening with enchanting balloon illuminations, all while enjoying a backdrop of live entertainment that will keep your feet tapping and your heart soaring.

As dusk settles, witness the breathtaking spectacle of the balloon glow, brought to life by TeamLogic IT and Stuart’s Integrated Services. It’s not just an event; it’s a memory in the making, with vibrant colors illuminating the night sky.

Be part of the excitement as 20+ hot air balloons compete for the skies in the Louisiana State Ballooning Championship. Cheer them on and witness the spectacle that fills the skies over Shreveport-Bossier City.

Terry Bradshaw Show

Terry Bradshaw, the Pro Football Hall of Famer from Shreveport and Louisiana Tech alum, brings his acclaimed show to Bossier City. Tickets are $50 and up.

The Terry Bradshaw Show” celebrates the icon’s storied career on and off the field through music, colorful stories, and honest reflections from his life. 2024 Louisiana International Masters Boxing Invitational

Experience 12 thrilling Olympic-style masters amateur boxing bouts at the 2024 Louisiana International Masters Boxing Invitational. The event will feature special guests, including celebrities, active and former boxing and sports champions, as well as political, media, business, and community leaders. Enjoy live entertainment throughout the evening.

This Boxing event will support youth and adult boxers, both male and female, registered with Stephens Youth Activity Zone. Tickets are $10 for children and $20 for adults. Proceeds will cover USA Boxing registration fees, food, and transportation to and from competitions.
