Don’t Miss These March Events in Bossier!

Spring is right around the corner and the fun is ramping up in Bossier Parish with these March events. From outdoor events returning to the area with concerts and cookouts to major sporting events, this month has no shortage to offer everyone from all walks of life!

Northwest Louisiana Money Show

For all you collectors out there, the 2025 Northwest Louisiana Money Show will feature more than 20 dealers from four states showcasing antique currency, ancient coins, palladium bullion, numismatic coins, plus precious metals — gold, silver, and platinum — and other collectibles. Admission is $3 for adults and free for children, plus free coins for every child.

When: March 7, from noon to 6 p.m., and March 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Commodores Live

One of the greatest Motown artists of all time will be stopping in Bossier when The Commodores bring their “Greatest Hits Tour – Live” to the stage. This highly influential, successful vocal group is known for their famous songs “Machine Gun, “Sail On,” and “Brick House” which are radio staples that still reverberate to this day.

When: March 7 at 8 p.m.

EBM Backyard Smokeout 2025

The Hurricane Alley area of the East Bank District will be opened for the year with a special charity event full of BBQ and live music. Patrons can dance to tunes from The Hollow Decks with Backseat Heroes, and sample all of the BBQ teams’ dishes of brisket, chicken, and ribs for only $5. All proceeds benefit Hogs for the Cause.

When: March 8, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Bossier City Gun Show

The Bossier City Gun Show lets enthusiasts trade for the gun they’ve always wanted while seeing hundreds of displays of new and old guns, ammo, gun parts, books, knives, jewelry, camouflage, militaria and related items. General admission is $10, admission for children 6-11 is $2, and admission for children under 6 is free. Under 18 will be admitted with parents only.

When: March 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Trivia Night

Get all your big-brained friends together as Flying Heart Brewing and Pub is hosting weekly trivia night at their location in the East Bank District. This family-friendly event allows competitors to test their wits on questions with a chance to win a free beer, dessert, and other prizes!

When: March 10, 17, and 24 at 7 p.m.

National Collegiate Wrestling Association Championships

Witness some premier sports action as the country’s top competitors descend on Bossier City to decide who is champion in this three-day showcase of athletic prowess. Hosted by the NCWA, this nonprofit has spent the last 26 years creating leadership opportunities, expanding wrestling competitions, inspiring community involvement, and academic excellence for student-athletes.

When: March 13-15 beginning at 10 a.m.

Shop Til You Drop Retail Market

The ultimate shopping experience is hitting Bossier City where you can find the best in women’s and children’s clothing, accessories, home decor, bath and body products, jewelry, arts and crafts, and more. Louisiana Adult State 70 & Over Multi-State Tournament

Enjoy the start of spring weather with a fun and exciting weekend on the courts in North Bossier. The U.S. Tennis Association – Louisiana and Northwest Louisiana Community Tennis Association is hosting the 2024 USTA Louisiana Multi-State Invitational for athletes 70 and over. All teams are invited to this championship event where each match features three courts of doubles with levels 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 Men and Women teams.

Bossier City Makers Fair

Come to the Bossier City Makers Fair –  a free event supporting local artisans selling their own works of art. With approximately 150 vendors offering up stained glass, knitting, soap, jewelry, pottery and paintings you can also enjoy music, food, face painting and other activities for the whole family.

When: March 22, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Frank Foster in Concert

This rural Louisiana native and former oilfield man has taken his songs from the campfire to the coliseum overnight, all while doing it on his terms. Foster has been acting as his own record label, management, and publishing company, taking country fans on a nearly 14-year journey with seven albums.

When: March 28, at 8 p.m.

Defenders of Liberty Air Show

The Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air Show is a weekend full of modern, historic military and civilian aircraft, with the 2025 edition featuring the USAF Thunderbirds. First held in 1933, this free, family-friendly tradition for Bossier allows the area to showcase the home of the B-52 with rare public access to Barksdale Air Force Base and show Airmen support. 

When: March 29 and 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
