The Drēm Hub Helps Boost Small Business in Bossier

Located at 2750 Shed Road Suite D1, dreams are being brought to reality at The Drēm Hub. For 2 years this entrepreneurship incubator has been helping business owners launch their business. There are currently 6 businesses located within The Drēm Hub. The woman behind the operation is Kyla Benjamin, affectionately known as CoachK. She provides the businesses a space to grow clientele and profit. It inspires business owners to dream big!

Her model is simple and some would say non-traditional. She doesn’t do typical leasing and doesn’t even do a credit check. She provides them a space within the Hub and the business owner pays a $140 deposit to keep their spot. During their time at The Drēm Hub she also provides guidance and mentorship for those that are ready to grow their business. Though she is helping these businesses grow, she refers to The Drēm Hub as her way to give back.

“This is what I call my pour into business,” Benjamin said. “I pay back into the universe because I don’t make any money in this business, this is me just giving back.”

Some of the businesses feature cosmetologists, estheticians, painters, boutiques, and event specialists all working to bring their dream to life.

Here are a few to support:

Paint Out Loud Canvas

Paint Out Loud Canvas provides the space, materials, and guidance for each person looking to bring out their creative side. In addition to kid’s parties, owner Brittany Miller also offers adult theme parties. Though Paint Out Loud has been in business for a while, she thanks Drēm Hub owner, Kyla for pushing her to do more.

“I had a birdie in my ear because Paint Out Loud has been in business for a while but I started off just selling the products. I didn’t necessarily want to host parties, just sell the products,” Miller laughed. “But I had someone to push me and here I am now.”

Through this experience she’s been able to grow and realize what she can do.

In addition to managing The Drēm Hub, Miller thinks one of the best parts is sitting back after setting up a party, creating the canvases, and getting ready to help kids express themselves through art and knowing that she played a part in that.

Kea’s Backdrop Hub

Kea’s Backdrop Hub is a flower wall studio that specializes in picnics, parties and petals.

“Whether it’s an engagement proposal, a little girl’s birthday party or girls night, you can come in and I set up everything, decorations, catering – leave all the details to me, I’ll handle it all,” she explained. “I also do flower walls and set those up at different events in the city.”

Kea J does offer delivery for any offsite events. In addition, she does event planning as well. If you’re wanting to purchase a flower wall or bouquet to keep, she sells those as well.

“I just love being in a place where they believe in me. Being surrounded by like minded people and we all push each other. My mentor, Kyla, pushes me to be a better business woman.”

S&K Locs

Gabriale Jones is in the business of making people feel beautiful through her salon, S&K Locs, located within The Drēm Hub. Everyone knows your hair dresser doubles as a therapist and having a space in this entrepreneurship incubator is no exception.

“It’s a private suite and private area,” Jones explained. “I get to bond with my clients in a safe space.”

This space truly is an oasis for clients to come in and get top treatment from Gabriale. She is ready to make people feel confident and is able to do so by her ability to chase her dream with The Drēm Hub!

No dream is too big or too small and if you take Brittany Miller’s advice – get out of that phase of self-doubt and self-sabotage and you can accomplish way more than being afraid! Just get out there!

If you have a business that you’re ready to kick off, you can contact Kyla with the Drēm Hub to see about a space within their incubator.
