Spooky Fun Events in Bossier to Attend This October!

October is when things start to get spooky in Bossier, but don’t fret if scares aren’t your thing, there’s plenty of different events to keep you busy. To get in the Halloween spirit, there are plays, fundraisers, and the annual Zombie Walk, but there are also concerts, live sports, and art shows for those who want something different. Check out these October events in Bossier Parish:
Imaginarium by Sysica Opening Reception
Enter the world of imagination through the lens of the creative mind of local artist Brittney Hazelton with “Imaginarium by Sysica: Characters & Personalities.” This ongoing story, crafted by the artist and her husband Ryan, explores the idea of creating something completely from the imagination while encouraging others to build their own world and create with originality. The show runs from Oct. 1 to Nov. 19.

An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe
Bossier Parish Community College kicks off the Halloween season with adaptations of six Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories by Robert Mason. Some of his creepiest and most haunting works will include “The Cask of Amontillado” and “The Tell-Tale Heart” to “The Oblong Box” and “The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether.”
When: Oct. 3, 4, 10, and 11 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. and Oct. 5 and 12 from 12-2 p.m.

Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters in Concert
Billy Bob Thornton is touring in the fall of 2025 with his band The Boxmasters for their “Pepper Tree Hill” tour to commemorate the band’s 19th release. The ever-prolific J.D. Andrew and Bud Thornton showcase their love as always for the sounds of the sixties and the inspiration of their studio on the album “Pepper Tree Hill.” Formed in 2006, The Boxmasters have recorded an impressive and diverse catalogue of music that touches on their love of a wide array of influences.

Bossier City Makers Fair
This family-friendly artisan market showcases more than 125 local makers offering handmade goods — such as pottery, jewelry, home décor, clothing, and more — with free admission and parking, live music, food, face painting, games, and more.

Pet Palooza
Bring your fur baby to enjoy a day all about them with this free pet-friendly festival presented by the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets, the Super Retriever Series Crown Championship, Krewe of Barkus & Meoux, the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, and Visit Shreveport-Bossier. Activities include local pet vendors with treats and toys, rescue groups with adoptions, free rabies vaccinations, photo opportunities, a pet ball pit, and a costume contest. You can also see day two of the Super Retriever Series Dock Diving Crown Championship with top sporting dogs and handlers competing in field trials, hunt tests, and more.

SBC Zombie Walk
Normally a group of zombies walking through your town is a bad thing, but this annual event is for a good cause! The 2025 SBC Zombie Walk: Bone Bash benefits the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana to collect canned food donations in their mission to fight hunger. LifeShare Blood Center will be taking donations, and Shriners Children’s Shreveport will be collecting donations towards their Spinal Care Program. Attendees can enjoy the Macabre Vendor Market, the Creative Costume Contest, door prizes, music, games, food trucks, and more.

Louisiana Legends: Battle at the Boardwalk
Amateur boxing comes to Bossier with a full lineup of USA Boxing–sanctioned bouts featuring the next great generation of fighters on their way to the top. Presented by Dement Brothers Boxing Club, this free, live event promises action in an exciting atmosphere on the riverfront under the lights for sports fans, families, and visitors.

2025 LAB EyeBall
The premier local Halloween Event returns with an exciting costume party featuring music, food, drinks, jump scares, and prizes to benefit the Louisiana Association for the Blind. Proceeds will go towards transforming the Louisiana Association for the Blind’s headquarters building into the area’s premier Assistive Technology Training Center to help the blind or visually impaired purchase and train on the latest technology.
