A Few of Our Fave Hidden Gems in Bossier!

Tucked away in Bossier Parish are a few special spots that locals love and visitors often miss. These hidden gems offer the perfect mix of flavor and fun, from grabbing a fresh, made-to-order sandwich or salad at a local eatery to spending the day surrounded by nature, wildlife, and water adventures. If you’re looking to explore beyond the usual, let’s uncover two must-visit treasures that show off the best of Bossier Parish charm.

Fresh Flavors at Stacked & Tossed

Stacked & Tossed is a local spot that’s all about keeping it fresh. The vibe here is relaxed and welcoming, and perfect for a quick lunch or a laid-back dinner with friends. The menu is filled with healthy, made-to-order sandwiches, pitas, and salads that prove “fast” food doesn’t have to mean fried. The upbeat tunes of your favorite hit songs playing in the background set the tone and give the space a vibe that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Owner Karim Karkar shared that Stacked & Tossed started with a simple observation.

“Before opening our first location in Haughton, I noticed something was missing in the area. There simply wasn’t a place that offered fresh, healthy, and quality food where people could truly sit and enjoy a meal. That’s when the idea of Stacked & Tossed was created.”

That vision has grown tremendously over the past few years.

“Stacked and Tossed began about 4.5 years ago, and today we are proud to have 3 locations. One in Haughton, Bossier City, and our newest spot in Shreveport,” Karkar said.

At its core, Stacked and Tossed is more than just a restaurant; it’s a family-owned business with heart.

“We genuinely care about serving the community with healthier options. We take pride in our excellent customer service and in providing a welcoming atmosphere that creates a great experience for our customers. Our goal is to make everyone eat well and feel swell,” Karkar said.

The menu is stacked with tasty options, such as specialty sandwiches, pitas, salads, create-your-own sandwiches, and more. Karkar revealed the fan favorite: “Our most popular and customer favorite sandwich is our #5 Buccaneer Club. This sandwich is stacked with turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and mayo on toasted jalapeño and cheddar bread. It’s a delicious way to honor my roots and hometown high school!”

Beyond the food, it’s the community that fuels Stacked and Tossed.

“What I love most about being part of the Bossier community is our customers, for sure! We are beyond thankful for all the support the Bossier community has shown us and our small business!”

Karkar added, “Our delivery service is another way we stay closely connected to the community. We’re proud to support local schools and their staff by making it easy for them to enjoy fresh, quality food while also strengthening their connection to a local business. Many of us have personal ties to these schools, so whether it’s for lunch breaks, extracurricular events, or teacher appreciation week, we’re honored to show how much we value the incredible work educators do every day.”

With its community-driven mission and a menu that truly lives up to the name, this hidden gem is worth discovering.
