Grabbing Lunch in Bossier? Don’t Miss These Local Favorites

If you’re short on time but big on appetite, Bossier has you covered. A growing lineup of local restaurants is redefining the lunch break with fast, flavorful options that fit seamlessly into a busy day while also supporting local businesses and showcasing the community’s unique flavor.
For a change of pace, Taza Kabob & Grill on Benton Road in Bossier City brings bold Mediterranean flavors to the lunch scene. The Palestinian-owned restaurant has spent nearly four years serving up favorites like kabobs, gyro sandwiches, and loaded fries made fresh by owner Sam Hasan, who brings more than a decade of experience to the kitchen.
Hasan’s journey is as compelling as his menu. He started working alongside his father in the kitchen at just 10 years old. Later, he moved to Ohio, where he met his wife, a Shreveport native, and opened his first restaurant. After that business closed, Hasan pivoted to trucking, saving money before relocating to northwest Louisiana to open Taza.
“This restaurant is about more than making money,” Hasan said. “It’s about building relationships with people. A lot of customers have become my friends.”
Through those relationships, Hasan also shares pieces of his story and culture, often engaging customers in meaningful conversations about his homeland.
“This is a beautiful community,” he said. “People here talk to you like they’ve known you forever. That’s the most special thing.”
Hasan has since opened a second restaurant, Fry Daddy’s, in Benton. While he continues striving for excellence in food, service, and value, his deeper motivation remains rooted in providing for his family and creating opportunity.
“Back home, we had nothing, sometimes not even bread,” he said. “We were farmers just trying to survive. Here, there is so much opportunity.”
He said his life experiences let him see things differently, and that shows him there is opportunity within reach for others, especially younger generations willing to work hard and think entrepreneurially.
“If people come together, we can accomplish a lot,” Hasan said. “It’s about humanity, peace, and helping each other.”
If you’re looking for a lighter lunch option, Stacked & Tossed offers a fresh, customizable experience. With five locations — including two in Haughton and one in north Bossier off Swan Lake Road — the local chain specializes in made-to-order salads and sandwiches. Its bright, friendly atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to recharge during a busy workday.
There might not be any better break than an extra-long lunch on a Friday, and Seventh Tap in the East Bank District is here to help you get your weekend started early. Open for lunch on Thursday and Friday, enjoy a homebrewed beer with an already legendary smashburger or loaded fries that can be a heaping side, appetizer, or meal unto themselves.
Rounding out the list is H Latin in Haughton, a restaurant bringing fresh, vibrant flavors to the growing town. Built on the idea that you shouldn’t have to leave your hometown to experience something new, H Latin offers a modern take on Latin cuisine in a welcoming, relaxed setting.
Owner Javier Ochoa chose Haughton for its small-town charm and strong sense of community.
“I wanted to bring a taste of Latin flavor with a modern twist,” Ochoa said. “We focus on creating an experience that feels both familiar and new. It’s not just a meal, it’s about the atmosphere and hospitality.”
That approach has resonated with locals.
“Haughton has been incredibly welcoming,” Ochoa said. “From day one, we’ve felt supported. People are excited to have something unique here, and many have made us their go-to spot for family and friends.”
Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite between meetings or stretching lunch into a well-earned break, Bossier’s local dining scene proves you can get a side of community with your convenience.
