Escape SBC
If you’re wanting to test your creativity and brain power, Escape SBC has a variety of experiences for you to try. From the Doll Master room to the Insanity Room, they have put a lot of thought and detail into their Bossier Games. This is a great way to not only escape your way from the room itself, but escape reality. You can help expose Dr. Parish of the Mount Parish Asylum, or save yourself and the Earth from an experiment gone wrong.
“We took our volunteer team of leaders to the Bossier Escape Room for team building and everyone had a blast,” said Simple Church Online Pastor, Evan Semanco. “The staff were helpful and fun, and everyone was into getting out and beating the record.”

East Bank District – Seventh Tap
From Axe Throwing at Bayou Axe Throwing Co., to enjoying the pizza and dessert of the month at Flying Heart Brewing Co., or live music in Hurricane Alley, there is always something happening in the East Bank District. A new business is joining in the fun on this side of the river – The Seventh Tap East Bank. The Seventh Tap Brewing Project was started in Shreveport and is now sharing the love of craft beer and seltzers in North Louisiana’s only open-container district.
“We are excited about being around so many other amazing and supportive businesses,” Owner and Co-Founder, Jose Cardenas, said. “It’s a great feeling to be part of a community of businesses that all want to see each other succeed.”
This production brewery aims to produced world class beer to distribute throughout Louisiana. Similar to their Shreveport location, Seventh Tap will continue to serve craft beer and seltzers but the Bossier location has a full kitchen and offers a great menu that include items like loaded fries, wings and smash burgers.
Barksdale Global Power Museum
Bossier City is home to active duty military installation, Barksdale Airforce Base. Located at this base is the Barksdale Global Power Museum where guests can learn more about the history of the 2nd Bomb Wing, 8th Air Force and the new Air Force Global Strike Command. For any person with an interest in aviation or military history, this is a great place to visit.
“As a military kid, I’ve had the privilege of visiting and living on several military bases across the country, but the Global Strike Museum at Barksdale Air Force Base stands out as the most impactful to me,” Bossier resident, Blake Lawson, said. “My dad began his career as a B-52 radar navigator, and getting to see the very aircrafts that he operated in up close allows me a better insight to all the stories he would tell me growing up.”
This museum tells the story of Strategic Bombardment, history of battle successes and also war determent efforts through nine different galleries and is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, with the exceptions of federal holidays. If you are interested in visiting and do not have a form of Military ID (Common Access, Dependent, Retired or Veteran), you will want to complete the Visitor Request Form. Once that is completed, you can then receive a Barksdale Air Force Base Museum Pass.
Holiday Lanes
Though Holiday Lanes has been in Bossier since 1960, this historically marked building has recently reopened with a brand-new state of the art catering kitchen, café, al-fresco patio and two brand new bars. They’ve updated the bowling technology to enhance guests’ overall experiences at Holiday Lanes. They also have new, convenient ordering kiosk stations to order food and drinks from Strikers Bar & Grill to be delivered to your lane.
“We understand that history and technology can work together and bring families together,” said General Manager and Director of Marketing, Chelsie Sherwood.
Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are encouraged for busy weekends when Glow Bowling is taking place.
Field of Dreams Park
Located on 2.5 acres of land in Bossier City lies the Field of Dreams Park. This park opened in the Spring of 2020 to provide accessible play spaces for children of all ages and abilities. Thanks to the efforts of Clay Bohanan and Louis Cook of Bossier City’s Parks and Recreation, it was named Playground of the Year by playground manufacturers, BCI Burke, in its opening year.
This park area features a baseball and softball diamond, a fully equipped ADA Accessible playground, walking trails, and picnic tables.
“It is special to me because my daughter, Alexiya, who has Cerebral palsy, is able to swing on the swing sets because it has supports,” Afiya Code said. “She feels like a typical kid!”
