It isn’t quite fall yet, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of fun activities to do. Check out any of these Bossier events in September, and you’ll be bound to have a good time.
Power Board Corn-Hole Tournament
It’s corn-hole time at the Louisiana Boardwalk. Hosted by the Powerboard Nationals Grand Prix of Louisiana, this event is a competitive tournament you won’t want to miss. Registration fees are $30 in advance or $40 a day for a team of two.

Super Derby 39
The Super Derby is back in Bossier City. This annual must-attend event is the biggest race of the year with $300,000 stakes race featuring the best from the United States. The day begins by meeting the jockeys and getting autographs for $5. A children’s area is also open for families to enjoy. Plan on making it out to the race and see live thoroughbreds compete.

Labor Day Pool Party
Say a sad “goodbye” to summer by making a splash. Consider this event your final mini getaway at the Dare Day Club pool. Soak up the sun with fun and enjoy party songs by That Girl DJ, Charles Smith, Ronnie Lopez and Robert Eitelman.

Bossier Parish 175th Anniversary Celebration
On this special night, the officials from the Bossier Night Market promise this will be the largest celebration to take place in Bossier Parish. With more than 185 vendors, you can shop, eat and enjoy the night created with the family fun in mind. Don’t miss the 175th party and receive free Bossier Parish swag.

Patriot Awards
Gather with other community supporters to honor first responders during a special luncheon hosted by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. Enjoy this networking event as leaders in Bossier are recognized for their courageous efforts to serve. Tickets are $45 or $800 for a table sponsor.

Aaron Watson
Aaron Watson will hit the Stage at Silver Star this month performing hits from over a dozen albums. Known as one of the torch-bearers for real country music, Watson promises love songs for adults, cultural commentary that entertains and others songs that prove he is the everyman. Tickets are $25 and you must be 21 or older to attend.

Paint Your Pour
Get creative and paint your drinkware to benefit the Bossier Arts Council. This event provides a unique social atmosphere celebrating art and culture. The cost is $15, which includes drinkware, paint, brushes and instructions.

DigiCode 2018
DigiCode is a game development competition where students, gamers and developer challenge one another to produce unique video games. Each of the games produced during DigiCode will be showcased at the DigiExpo during DigiFest. To view the rules of the competition, click here.

Dating Game
Help the special contestants in Bossier City find love. The Dating Game event at Flying Heart Brewing and Pub is also your chance to nominate someone in search of love. There is a $10 nomination fee that will go toward the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Nominate someone who deserves a shot at love and watch it blossom with special hostesses Lauren Vizza and Karen Edwards.

Susan G. Komen NWLA: Race for the Cure
Put on your pink and support a community fighting for a cure. Walk, run and remember those who have lost their battle. This community celebration hosted by Susan G. Komen NWLA will honor the survivors and pay tribute to the ones still fighting.
