Spring has arrived in Bossier Parish and there’s no better way to enjoy the beautiful weather than taking in some of the varying events from live music and 5Ks to the return of the farmers market.
Chasing Benjamins at Hurricane Alley
Hurricane Alley frequently offers music, festivals, and events in the Bossier’s entertainment district and will continue its season with a concert of classic rock hits from Chasing Benjamins Thursday, April 4.

East Bank 5K Run and Team Beer Mile
The First East Bank 5k Run and Team Beer Mile will take place in the East Bank District, starting in front of BeauxJax Crafthouse and the Team Beer Mile taking place behind BeauxJax Crafthouse. Proceeds will go toward Community Renewal.
When: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 6.

Bossier City Farmers Market
The 2024 Bossier City Farmers Market, voted the No. 1 farmers market in Louisiana, kicks off April 6 and is open every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October in the south parking lot of Pierre Bossier Mall. The market has more than 75 vendors with a wealth of local fresh veggies and fruits, food trucks, breakfast and lunch, jams, salsa, honey, Venezuelan and Cuban cuisine, handmade soap, baked goods, jellies, pickles, tamales, fresh gulf shrimp, flowers, kettle corn, BBQ, shaved ice, fresh-squeezed lemonade, boudin, real fruit smoothies, seasoning blends, peppers, wood and metal crafts, art, southern comfort food, live music, face painting, balloons and much more.

The 16th Annual Shreveport Blues Festival
The Blues Is Alright Tour comes to the Brookshire Grocery Arena with the 16th Annual Shreveport Blues Festival. The Blues is musical storytelling filled with stark emotion and a revolving reality check. It’s authentically raw; transforming tragedy, adversity, and heartache into a visceral and cathartic experience. This special night of emotive lyrics and guitar-driven accompaniment features performances by Tucka, King George, Pokey Bear, J’Wonn, West Love, and LJ Echols.

Battle of the Badges
Come support your local firemen and police as they step into the ring and battle for bragging rights in this amateur, charity boxing event. Organized by the Bossier City Fire Fighters Local 1051.

2D Super Select NIT
The 2024 Super Select Nit is the largest youth event in North Louisiana hosted across Bossier City, Ruston, Monroe, and Sterlington. This event is sponsored by Raising Canes Chicken Fingers and Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. This invite-only event is open to 7u -14u teams.
