Snack Hack: Best Places in Bossier to Get Your Snack On!

One thing about Louisiana is that we know how to eat – even if it’s just a snack! Here are a few places in Bossier that offer great snack options from healthy to “treat yourself.”

Great American Cookies, Marble Slab Creamery, and PretzelMaker

4080 Airline Drive

Conveniently located on Airline Drive, this shop offers you several snack options because there are actually three businesses within one location.

“We have something for every family member from sweet to salty,” owner Kristina Haegele said.

If you’re wanting something sweet, you can grab a Great American Cookie double doozie with icing or make it an ice cream sandwich with Marble Slab Creamery ice cream. Owner Kristina Haegele’s favorite from Marble Slab is the butter pecan ice cream with pecans, waffle pieces and caramel mixed in.

If you want something a little more salty, you can try their PretzelMaker pretzel bites with a sauce to dip in or their mini pretzel dogs. Haegele recommends the nacho cheese!

Gina’s Waffles and Dogs

2307 E Texas Street

At Gina’s Waffles and Dogs, they offer up Korean-style corn dogs and dessert waffles. For those wanting a savory snack, try one of their corn dogs. The dogs are coated in different types of crispy batter like potatoes or half and half mozzarella cheese and potato. If you’re more of a classic corn dog person, don’t worry, they offer a plain classic Korean corn dog, too. Be sure to try one of their different dips like sweet chili or cheddar mayo.

If you want a sweet snack, their bubble waffles are a great option. The fluffy waffles come stuffed with ice cream and filled with things like Oreos, Nutella, or fresh fruit. Their dessert waffles are plenty big to split but if you don’t want to share, we won’t tell!

Counter Culture

4726 E Texas Street Suite 240

2301 Airline Drive Suite 105

Counter Culture is a great option because we have a variety of healthy food and drink options for everyone,” Melissa Harmon, Operations Manager said. “Humphreys are a customer favorite!”

There are a couple location options in the area where you can get one of their most popular items – their Humphrey Yogart. This delicious treat traditionally comes with regular tart yogurt, freshly cut strawberries, bananas and grapes and topped with granola and a honey drizzle. You can also customize the three fresh fruits if you’d prefer something different like pineapple or blueberries.

If you don’t want the Humphrey Yogart, Melissa Harmon’s favorite is the pecan parfait which has their signature plain yogurt, strawberries, pecans and whipped cream. She also likes to add chocolate syrup as well. You can also try one of their other yogurt mixes like their version of a banana split called “Banana Crack” with a banana base layer, yogurt and three toppings.

Fruits of the Spirit

1040 Chinaberry Drive

Fruits of the Spirit is located in front of Christ Fit Gym and offers a broad variety of healthier snack options. Their smoothies are named after the fruits of the spirit so you can enjoy a peace, patience, or even kindness smoothie. You can also cool off with a lemonade infused with sugar-free raspberry flavoring. If you need an extra pick-me-up, grab one of their loaded teas. Fruits of the Spirit also offers grab and go vanilla and chocolate protein balls.

When snacking at Fruits of the Spirit, you can feel good about the money you spend. The proceeds go to help with their non-profit ministry.

Keep calm and snack on Bossier!
