Fall Has Arrived with These October Events in Bossier
October is a busy month across Bossier with tons of events both inside and outdoors. From dinner galas, country music concerts, and outdoor walks to pet festivals, there is a variety of events to entertain yourself with this month.
Red Tie Gala Dinner
The 3rd Annual Red Tie Gala Dinner is a formal dinner with a silent auction and art display. All guests are asked to wear formal or semi-formal attire and male attendees are asked to sport a red tie. New this year is the 1st Annual Red Dress Photo Contest where this year’s annual gala will feature a display of red formal gowns and the red dress winner’s photos on display. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, judges’ choice, and people’s choice.
All proceeds from this event will benefit 360 Foundation’s yearly programs supporting women and children. Single adult tickets are $100 or $150 per couple.

2024 Best Selfie Photo Contest Dinner and Art Gala
The 2024 Best Selfie Photo Contest Dinner and Art Gala is a themed photo contest open to women aged 21 and older. Twelve images will be selected and displayed at the dinner and gala. Proceeds benefit the 360 Star Mentor Program. Limited general admission tickets are $50.

Travis Tritt in concert
Country Music legend Travis Tritt will perform at Margaritaville’s Paradise Theater in Bossier. Thirty years into his career, Travis Tritt has sold more than 30 million albums and remains a vital force in country music, performing sold-out shows globally. The Marietta, Georgia native blended Southern rock, blues, and gospel, leading to his 1989 Warner Bros. debut. Tritt’s second album, It’s All About to Change, went triple platinum. Over his career, he has taken home two GRAMMY Awards and three CMA Awards.

Bossier City Makers Fair
This event showcases more than 150 handcrafted artisans selling everything from canvas and multimedia art, stained glass, jewelry, food and vegetables, signs, clothing, pottery, leather goods, wreaths, home décor, and more at booths located around all of the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets footprint. The event will also feature live music, street performers, and activities for families.

Cajun Cruisers Car Show
Automotive enthusiasts of all kinds can celebrate their passion with this showcase of all vehicles from cars and hot rods to muscle cars, exotics, and everything in between. This inclusive car show is for the entire family.

Jelly Roll in concert
GRAMMY Award winner Jelly Roll brings The Beautifully Broken Tour to Bossier City with special guests Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay. One of Country Music’s hottest acts, Jelly Roll is a three-time 2023 CMT Music Award winner for “Son of a Sinner” and also won Best New Artist at the CMA Awards.

MercyMe in concert
Christian music legends MercyMe will be hitting the stage at the Brookshire Grocery Arena for The Together Again…Again Tour 2024. Including special guests Crowder and Cochren & Co. The group first gained mainstream recognition with the crossover single “I Can Only Imagine,” sending their debut album, Almost There, to triple platinum. Since then, the group has released eight additional studio albums with 13 consecutive top-five singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart.

2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s
This annual event, taking place rain or shine, honors those living with or having lost their lives to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer’s further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Every registered participant who achieves the fundraising minimum of $100 will receive an official Walk to End Alzheimer’s T-shirt and donations can be made offline by submitting a check or money order by mail or hand-delivering to the local Alzheimer’s Association office.

Daughtry in concert
The rock band Daughtry will be performing at Bossier City’s Margaritaville Resort Casino. As one of the best-selling rock bands of the 21st century, Daughtry achieved massive success with their debut album in 2007 and has continued to top charts with hits like their 2023 cover of “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart).” Their debut album, the self-titled Daughtry, was the top-selling album of 2007 and was the fastest selling rock debut album in Soundscan history. It was also nominated for 4 GRAMMY Awards and won 4 American Music Awards and 7 Billboard Music Awards, including Album of the Year.

Pet Palooza 2024
The “purr-fect” event for pet lovers is here with the 2024 Pet Palooza. This free event offers a day filled with pet-focused vendors offering treats, toys and more. You can also bring your furry loved one to participate in a costume contest. For those families looking to add to their homes, there will be on-site pet adoptions from local shelters. Lastly, spectators can see Day 2 of the Super Retriever Series dock diving competition. This event is presented by the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets, the Super Retriever Series Crown Championship, Krewe of Barkus & Meoux, the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, and Visit Shreveport-Bossier.
