The weather outside may be frightful, but the events in Bossier are so delightful this winter! There’s no shortage of ways to distract yourself from the cold with events ranging from art shows and concerts to rodeos and Mardi Gras traditions. February is a great time for entertainment in Bossier!

Bossier Parish Student Art Show

The Bossier Arts Council will be showcasing the talent of Bossier Parish Art students with the annual Art Show. Bossier elementary, middle, and high schoolers had their work submitted by their instructors across various mediums for display. The artwork will be on display from Feb. 4 to March 22 with an opening reception Feb. 4.

Harlem Globetrotters Tour

A night of magic, laughs, and family fun will hit the Brookshire Grocery Area for an unforgettable night as the Harlem Globetrotters 2025 World Tour stops at the Brookshire Grocery Area. Tickets are $25 and up for unforgettable moments with the legendary basketball team showcasing their blend of athleticism and comedy.

Galentine’s Night Out

Savage Roots Boutique, a locally owned and operated boutique, is hosting you and your favorite friends for a special Valentine’s Day shopping event. The store is extending its hours with special sales, new merchandise, jewelry, and a “Bottoms Up Bar Service” with dirty sodas and iced coffee.

Bulls Bands and Barrels

This ain’t your grandpappy’s rodeo! Thrilling rodeo events collide with live country music and intense barrel racing for a bigger, louder, action-packed reimagining of what a rodeo can be. Gavin Adcock with special guest, Hudson Westbrook, will headline this year’s event at the Brookshire Grocery Arena.

Mardi Gras Night Market

Complete with the traditional parade, the Mardi Gras Night Market lets shoppers indulge in more than 200 vendors and food trucks, kids’ activities, free Bossier swag and giveaways, plus more. This free event is pet-friendly and includes an indoor heated seating area and free parking.

When: Feb. 8, 3-8 p.m.

Super Bowl Watch Party

Join Simple Church in the Downstairs Event Center at the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets for a special Super Bowl Watch Party and Chili Cook Off. This adult event will provide pizza and soft drinks but asks attendees to bring your favorite game day appetizer/snack, no matter if it is store bought or homemade. Chili Cook Off competitors are asked to bring chili in a crockpot. Awards will be given out for the top three favorites from those tasting samples.

BPCC Children’s Show: Chicken Little

Bossier Parish Community College Theatre and the Cavalier Players are presenting Chicken Little and Friends: Or, the Sky is Falling! This children’s tale of humor and charm was written by the founder of the BPCC Theatre Program, the late Professor Stephen W. Slaughter. Convinced that the sky is falling, Chicken Little and her barnyard friends set off on a mission to warn the king facing adventure and danger from a big bad wolf. Tickets are $5 and performances will be located in Building C on BPCC’s campus.

Revel in the Mardi Gras with this special event in the East Bank District. Celebrate this Louisiana holiday with more than 30 vendors, food, live music, and more.

Priscilla Block in Concert

Country artist Priscilla Block will give an uplifting performance at the Paradise Theater of country pop and southern rock with self-love, empowerment, and acceptance. An American Country Music nominee for New Female Artist of the Year and by CMT for Breakthrough Video of the Year, Priscilla has commandeered her place in country music with her unmitigated honesty in songs such as the fan-favorite track “Just About Over You” and her No. 1 country radio hit “You, Me, and Whiskey.”

Town of Haughton African American History Parade

The Town of Haughton’s Annual African American History Parade is a jubilant celebration of rich culture and heritage with music, floats, and festivities. Kicking off at Haughton High School, this parade is free to the public and welcomes all community members.

Krewe of Barkus & Meoux Parade XXV

This family-oriented event sees our furry friends showcased in this annual Mardi Gras parade dedicated to the pets in our household. This Disney-inspired event of “25 Years of Magic” begins with a vendor market at 11 a.m., float and pet costume contests kicking off at 1 p.m., and the traditional parade rolling at 2 p.m.

When: Feb. 23, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Float Loading Party

Krewe of Gemini is opening their doors to the public, giving community members the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the krewe’s floats, collect beads, and chat with members ahead of the annual parade the next day. Established in 1989, the Krewe of Gemini brings New Orleans-style Mardi Gras to northwest Louisiana.

Bossier Federal’s Winter Block Party

Bossier Federal Credit Union is hosting a Winter Block Party to benefit local nonprofits. Have king cake, PJ’s Coffee, and hot chocolate while donating to the POLA Foundation Inc., Port City Cat Rescue, and LifeShare blood center. You can bring dry and canned cat food, cat litter, dry dog food, dog treats, plastic bones, paper towels, trash bags, and disinfecting wipes to donate. LifeShare donors must bring an ID and have eaten and drank plenty of water before donating.

Walker Hayes in Concert

Monument Records recording artist Walker Hayes will perform at the new Event Center at Live! Casino. The country singer and songwriter is known for his smash hit “Fancy Like” that topped every country music sales and streaming chart, spending more than six months at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, hit the top 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs, hit No. 1 at country radio, and gave Hayes his first GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Country Song.
