Rylee Swindle, the general manager for Risen Rock Climbing Gym thinks it’s important to cater to kids but they also offer different kinds of climbing to accommodate each visitor’s climbing ability.
“We have bouldering, which is free climbing. They are only about 10-15 feet high. We also have top rock climbing. This is a 35-foot wall and you’re attached to an auto blade and you go all the way to the top and come back down slowly,” Swindle said.
If you would like to celebrate a birthday during spring break at Risen Rock, they offer birthday party packages as well.
“Parents can schedule birthday parties and kiddos get to climb for a designated amount of time with up to 15 kids and they get free slushes on us and a party room. We have kids as young as toddlers and as old as teenagers who come for birthday parties.”
“Bossier City gives out-of-towners that small town community feel. Anywhere you go the businesses are usually run by families…Everybody is welcomed and you’re treated like family. That’s what we do here at Risen Rock, we make everyone feel welcome like they belong here and all of Bossier City seems to have that vibe,” Swindle said.
