Enjoy a Global Culinary Experience at Crepe N Dip in Bossier

Jay Joma is from Jerusalem and was previously in fashion design in Europe. He even went to college in Paris to learn more about business management. His life experiences have allowed him the opportunity to see and taste food from cultures all over the globe. Now, he’s bringing the best flavors from around the world to Bossier Parish by opening Crepe N Dip.
Joma believes that anything you make in life has a personal story and a business story, and his goal has always been to find something he is passionate about.
“I tried too many things before I got to this point,” he explained. “Some jobs are hard, some jobs are fun because you’re dealing with people, some jobs you don’t even see people all day long, to me, with Crepe N Dip, I was looking for something to make people happy.”
Throughout his time in America, Joma has faced difficult seasons. After losing his best friend and partner at his previous job in Alexandria, he began searching for new opportunities – not just for income, but for something that would bring more happiness and better prospects. His ultimate goal was to create something that would improve his own life and the lives around him.
Crepe N Dip in Bossier City opened three years ago and it has been an exciting journey for Joma.
Why Bossier though?
“When I was researching, I saw Bossier City and Shreveport got number one in the United States for supporting local businesses,” he said. “Which to me is a great thing because I was not a big name at that time and people had no idea or no one knows about who we are. So, I was looking for that kind of community.”
The community in Bossier Parish has supported Crepe N Dip, and the unique flavors and menu items keep the customers coming back.
With over 40 different menu items – including crepes, waffles, and even ice cream- everything is made with love and crafted by Joma himself.
“We are different,” Joma said. “I create something you can’t find on the internet, it’s not something from YouTube or something that I experienced that someone did before me. No, this is something from scratch that I did.”
Everything in the shop is made from scratch and Joma also offers different merchandise like accessories, candy, and drinks from 17 different countries between the Middle East and Europe which creates an all-around multicultural experience right here in Bossier City.
Joma’s favorite menu items would have to be the crepes but specifically the Sushi Crepe. Despite its name, it has nothing to do with fish. It’s a rolled crepe filled with Nutella and banana, then drizzled with white and milk chocolate and served with fresh fruit to scoop up any remaining sauce.
Crepe N Dip also offers Dubai Chocolate, which has been a craze on social media. However, they offer it with a fresh twist! Here, it’s served in a cup layered with strawberries, fresh melted milk chocolate and the iconic shredded phyllo dough and pistachio cream mixture that everyone recognizes. This menu item has been ordered the most according to Joma.
Thanks to Crepe N Dip, you can enjoy a global culinary experience without leaving home!
