Shop Til You Drop Summer Market

Shop Til You Drop is a large arts, crafts, and gifts boutique shopping event that brings together vendors from across the Ark-La-Tex region for a weekend marketplace focused on handmade goods, specialty products, local businesses, food vendors, and unique gifts. 

When: Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Story Time With the Cow

The Bossier Parish Libraries will share some of their favorite stories that kids will love in this family-friendly story time with the Chick-fil-A mascot. This free event is perfect for kids of all ages, so enjoy a morning of storytelling and smiles with your whole family.

Boardgame Night

The Basement has listened to its customers and started up a new night dedicated to board games to be held at its event space in their store. They offer a section of board games in-store for free, or you can bring your own favorites from home. This free event is open to families.

When: Aug 6, 13, 20, and 27 at 5:30 p.m.

Jake Owen in Concert

Known for multi-platinum, chart-topping anthems like “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “Beachin’,” country hitmaker Jake Owen brings high-energy fun and signature sun-soaked aura to the stage packed with crowd-pleasing hits, fan favorites, and pure country cool.

Pelicans and Patriots Opening Reception

The Bossier Arts Council is celebrating America’s 250th Birthday with a special art show featuring national pride and history. Local artists are showcasing the United States of America’s beauty as a cultural melting pot…with a dash of Louisiana-centric spice added in. Art pieces will be on display from Aug. 4 to Sept. 12.

Beanbag Baseball

Join Bossier Parish Libraries for nine rounds of Bean Bag Baseball, followed by a potluck lunch. This social, low-impact game combines cornhole with the rules, scoring, and team strategy of traditional baseball. A favorite of all ages, it gives players of any athletic level a taste of baseball with the strain of hitting or running the bases.

PokeKon Fest

The major event for all northwest Louisiana Pokémon collectors, this trade show combines fandoms of multiple genres with collectors of Pokémon in a single event. In addition to exhibitors with toys, games, artwork, apparel and more, there will be a roster of Pokémon industry professionals and fandom-related celebrities in attendance for fans to meet and greet. 

When: Aug. 22, beginning at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

9-Ball Partners Tournament

This free, team-based tournament gives you and your partner the chance to prove you have the best break in town. Top squads earn trophies and gift cards, plus there’s even a chance to win a prize for best team name. Grab your favorite pool partner and lock down your spot for this round of games.

Party at the Pool

This country-fueled night with music from local artist Shane Pons takes over Live! Casino & Hotel’s exclusive pool area. Hosted by the PBR Cowboy Bar, this adults-only event features an inflatable bull floating in the pool, cold drinks, and DJs bringing the tunes.
