Spring has arrived in Bossier Parish and there’s no better way to celebrate warmer temps and longer days than enjoying some April events. From Beer Runs and concerts to the start of the Farmers Market and Easter egg hunts, there’s plenty for local families and friends to enjoy this month.
2025 American Cornhole Organization Majors
Are you good at Cornhole? Like, so good all your friends get mad when you always beat them during backyard BBQs? Then maybe it’s time to test your skills with the American Cornhole Organization (ACO) Majors. These tournaments welcome all skill levels and are the major tournaments for the ACO’s season. If you’re a member, you can compete for World Ranking Points, and if not, then you can join in via “play to play” tournaments.
When: April 4-5, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Larry Fleet in Concert
Tennessee native Larry Fleet will bring his songwriting skills to Bossier City. Growing up on classic records spanning Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson to Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye, Larry is a songwriter with hooks, a powerful voice, and thoughtful approach to music. Recently celebrating his first No. 1 song, Larry is a rising star in the country scene you don’t want to miss.

Bossier City Farmers Market Opening
The Bossier City Farmers Market is opening for its 2025 season with a special event featuring up to 80 vendors, including Glory and Grace Splendid Tea Co. Visitors can find foods such as salsa, sauces, olive oils, breads, cakes, and more with other homemade goods offered.
When: April 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dueling Pianos Brunch
Are you ready to party? Brunch party?!? This one-of-a-kind experience will feature Queen Anne’s Revenge and Ultimate Sound Productions producing a morning of live music fueled by bottomless mimosas and bloody marys and delicious food. VIP tables and general admission tickets are available.

East Bank 5K & Beer Mile Run
The 2nd Annual East Bank 5k Run and Team Beer Mile will give the community an opportunity for a good time in the East Bank District. The race will begin outside BeauxJax Crafthouse and the Team Beer Mile will take place behind BeauxJax Crafthouse with live music, awards, and drinks. Registration is $25 and due by April 9. All proceeds will go toward Community Renewal International.

Color Your Kicks
The Painted Edge is hosting a unique event that gives artists (and artists at heart) the chance to create a wearable piece of art by painting your own shoes. Bring your own shoes – canvas or leather low-top sneakers – and create your design. Whether you’re recreating a Renaissance masterpiece, an abstract statement, or something simple and bold, the Painted Edge team will help guide participants every step of the way.

Bossier Parish Library Easter Egg Hunt
The Bossier Parish Library East 80 branch is hosting an egg-citing afternoon at Tall Timbers Park with an egg-stra special event for families across Bossier. Avid Easter Egg hunters can search for more than 1,000 eggs throughout the park.

17th Annual Shreveport Blues Festival
The 17th Annual Shreveport Blues Festival returns to the Brookshire Grocery with a night of Southern soul and blues. The Blues is musical storytelling filled with emotion and raw authenticity that transforms tragedy, adversity, and heartache into a visceral and cathartic experience. This special night will feature guitar-driven performances by Tucka, King George, Pokey Bear, Marcellus The Singer, J-Wonn, West Love, and TK Soul.

Angel of Faith’s 2025 Extravaganza
Angels of Faith’s Extravaganza features saxophonist Eddie Spencer, Lumpy Grits Artistry, Jazz singer Chai Gray-Garrison, Inter City Row Modern Dance Company, poets, and other talented guests. Tickets will be available at the door. Established in 2006, Angels of Faith Theatrical Productions produces community plays to donate funds to local nonprofits, award theatrical scholarships to students, and inspires young people by offering free drama youth workshops.

Bossier City Battle of The Badges
It’s time again for the annual showdown between local first responders squaring off inside the ring for charity. This action-packed event sees officers and firefighters extend their friendly rivalry throw down in an amateur boxing event to raise funds for charity while friends, family, and sports fans cheer on these heroes.
