Robert Brown Plumbing Celebrates 22 Years Serving the Bossier Community

As of September 22, 2025, Robert Brown Plumbing has reached 22 years of service to not only Bossier Parish but also the surrounding areas.
Robert Brown Plumbing is a family-owned business, with its foundation built on a strong relationship with Christ.
“God owns it, but I run it for Him,” Robert Brown said.
Surrounding Robert in his office are biological family members and also chosen family. Clayton, his son, has been working at Brown Plumbing for four and a half years officially, but has been involved in the business off and on throughout his childhood and teenage years. His daughter, Heather, is their Office Administrator who has been full-time in the company since 2008.
Donna, who greets you as you walk in or answers when you call, has been there since 2016, is Robert’s sister-in-law.
“If you call us, you’re most likely to talk to the same person year after year,” Clayton explained.
Robert credits a lot of his business’s success to his wife of 42 years, Debbie. She was truly an instrumental part of the business. From being a wife, mother, office clerk, and bookkeeper all in one, she helped him consistently with his business.
Robert learned the trade from his father-in-law and, throughout his 42 years of experience, has done hands-on training with all of his staff. In addition to the skill, he’s instilled in them the sense of pride and doing the job right the first time. He’s also learned a lot of patience and grace throughout the time of owning his business.
“When I first started, you’d do it my way or the highway,” Robert recalled. “The biggest lesson I had to learn is that this plumber might do it a little bit differently, but as long as it works and it’s a good quality job for the customer, that works.”
Robert also explained the importance of treating your employees like team members.
“We’re all one team,” Robert stated. “All of us ain’t gonna be quarterbacks. The NFL can’t win a game with all quarterbacks, so we’re all a team, we’re all a family, and every member is important.”
In the early days of Brown Plumbing, it was Robert and one other partner as they began to grow, and the need for more trucks became a reality. This aspiration of owning a business came from his father, who owned his own mobile-home business. Bringing this journey back to family, even down to how they work with their customers.
“People want to be treated as family and not a number,” Robert said.
One thing they pride themselves on is their ability to give grace to customers. With rising costs of living and materials needed to ensure quality products, Robert Brown Plumbing has created a business model that allows for affordable coverage when you need it.
The Family Club is a maintenance program offered to all for a monthly price of $14.95. This membership allows you several perks, from yearly maintenance on things like water heaters and annual inspections to priority service. In addition, there are some discounted repairs and items that are also included with great pricing options.
Clayton also mentioned that there are options for customers to choose from when having repairs done. His list includes choices that are titled, “A must, should, and could.” A must will be what solves the problem you called them for, the should is what he says he’d recommend for his Grandmother’s house, and could is anything found within the inspection that can be fixed before it becomes a larger issue.
They understand that repairs can be costly. They offer financing through GreenSky, Synchrony and ANICA banks. However, you can get any financing through your personal bank, and they’ll accept it. They want to help their customers and make what can be a stressful situation as easy as possible.
They also provide discounts to military, seniors, teachers, and medical personnel.
In addition to traditional plumbing needs, some may benefit from the service they offer with their AquaJet, a hot water jetter to assist with cleaning pipes, to help service more commonly for apartment projects, restaurants, and businesses. They also have a solution called Total-C that can be used to help with breaking the grease down completely in a non-invasive way.
They want quality in everything they do in any way they can.
“Me and my dad aren’t preachers, we can’t sing, but we’ve gotten pretty good at plumbing, and that’s something we can do. Not everyone can do what we do, so we help out when we can.” Clayton said.
Recently, they did just that. Having returned from assisting a small startup church congregation with the plumbing in their building in Mississippi, Robert explained that, as all business has slow times, business seemed to pick up.
“You’ve gotta give back,” Robert said. “God gives you these talents and you’ve got to give them back to Him.”
Robert has continued to do that for the last 22 years with his business, and though Robert plans to retire within the next four to five years, he knows that the next 22 years will be a success, and the business is in the good hands of his children.
Clayton’s goal while taking on the big responsibility of Brown Plumbing is to keep the legacy going.
“Mainly just keep the legacy going, not just float on by but increase it if I can,” Clayton said. “It’s a big deal being handed a company like this, and I don’t want to let him down. Just keep it going.”
They are excited to continue to do business with Bossier’s growing community, full of all stages of life.
“What’s really nice about Bossier is they are loyal,” his daughter Heather explained. “If they choose you, they are going to be loyal, so that’s a good thing.”
Congratulations on 22 years, Brown Plumbing, and here’s to the next 22, continuing to treat Bossier like family!
