From breakfast to dinner, here is how you can spend an entire day supporting local gems right here in Bossier.

Breakfast & Chai Latte at Sweet Fern

There’s no better way to start a Small Business Saturday than at Sweet Fern. Kick off the morning with one of their comforting breakfast bites. Try a cold brew or a drink from the espresso bar, and indulge in their cookies and homemade cheesecake. The best part is that when you support this small business, you can also support other local small businesses by exploring their Small Business Corner, which features a wide range of products, including jewelry, clothing, home decor, and more. This is one cozy spot to sit and stay a while.

Louisiana Boardwalk: Shop Til U Drop Boutique

Shop Til U Drop Boutique at the Louisiana Boardwalk is built on twenty years of passion, partnership, and community.

Co-owner Heidi Burge shared, “Deanna Phillips is my business partner. We have been in business together for 20 years. We started the Shop Til U Drop Arts, Crafts, and Gift Show 20 years ago. We have 5 shows a year at the Bossier Civic Center. We opened the Shop Til U Drop Boutique in September 2024 at the Louisiana Boardwalk.”

Inside, the boutique is filled with variety.

“Our boutique allows small businesses to sell their products. We have ladies’ and children’s clothing, some men’s, pickles, perfume, dips, salsa, a blind date with a book, purses, tumblers, cell phone covers, woodwork, decor, a t-shirt bar, hair bows, and jewelry.”

You can support the boutique in a variety of ways, including through TikTok lives, the website, visiting the boutique at the Louisiana Boardwalk, and attending one of their shows, which also helps support the small businesses that have been with them for 20 years. The next show will be held December 12 & 13 at the Bossier Civic Center.

Families will also love the character visits.

“The Grinch will be at the boutique on Saturday, November 29, 2025. In December, we will have Bluey and Bingo here for the kids to get their pictures taken with them,” Burge said.

“We love our Boardwalk home. We work hard to attract more customers to the boutique,” said Burge.

Anyone needing to expand their small business is welcome to reach out to the boutique.

Holiday Light Shopping at TNT Lighting

TNT Lighting has been a holiday staple in Bossier Parish for nearly three decades. What started in 1998 has grown into a beloved family business known for handcrafted Christmas light silhouettes that brighten homes, churches, neighborhoods, and local displays.

Christina Thompson shared, “TNT Lighting was founded in 1998 by my mother, Judy Hrdlicka, and my late father, Chuck. We are a family-owned and operated business in Benton, Louisiana, and everything we make is handcrafted with care.”

Their specialty is custom metal-frame Christmas displays, each one built and lit by hand; every light is individually placed by the family. If you can imagine it, TNT can create it: Merry Christmas signs, Santa displays, Nativity scenes, crosses, Louisiana-themed pieces, and countless other custom designs

What keeps customers returning year after year is the care behind every piece.

“For nearly three decades, we’ve built not just displays, but relationships. Many have truly become like family,” Thompson said.
