Kick Off 2026 With These Events in Bossier!

The new year is here, and with it comes a whole host of fun events throughout January in Bossier. Celebrate 2026 all month long with several Mardi Gras events, rodeos, comedy tours, and even an Anime convention.
Grand Bal XVIII
The Krewe of Atlas will continue its mission to bring today’s modern cultural diversity to the Mardi Gras traditions and festivities in Bossier and Shreveport with its Grand Bal. The Krewe encourages camaraderie and fellowship through supporting local charities and nonprofit organizations.

25th Anniversary Real Cowboy Association National Black Rodeo
The baddest show on dirt returns to celebrate a quarter century filled with excitement for the entire family. This year’s event will feature bull riding, ranch bronc riding, barrel racing, calf roping, and all other major rodeo events, showcasing cowboys and Cowgirls from across the United States. Witness the historical Pony Express Relay Race, along with a national recording artist providing live entertainment for all ages.

Concert for Stroope
Various artists will participate in a special benefit concert presented by Louisiana Grandstand in an intimate setting at the Louisiana Boardwalk Event Center. The show will honor the legacy of Shawn Stroope by continuing his mentoring care for local artists. All proceeds will go towards the Flatwound Initiative, a non-profit offering support for musicians in times of medical crisis.

Home Products Show
The Home Builders Association of Northwest Louisiana is giving current and future homeowners the chance to dream up their ideal abode with everything all in one place. From doors, windows, and appliances to home theatres, furnishings, and construction services, this show has it all.

Ginger Billy Comedy Show
The viral sensation Ginger Billy brings his unique brand of “redneck satire” stand-up and storytelling to Bossier City with his Backwoods Comedy Tour. A native of South Carolina, he transitioned from a career as a respiratory therapist to a content creator who is making millions laugh all over social media.

Harlem Globetrotters 100 Year Tour
The legendary troupe of basketball and comedy legends is celebrating a century of wowing crowds with unforgettable magic on the hardcourt. Their tour will bring their famous skills, tricks, and family fun to Bossier City for this special milestone event.

Elders Grande Bal XXVIII
The Elders Grande Bal XXVIII is a signature Mardi Gras event hosted by the Krewe of Elders, a non-profit organization for those aged 50 and older. This event is open to adults of all ages and offers an elegant way to celebrate Mardi Gras with a buffet dinner, cash bar, and live music themed to the Medieval Renaissance.

Kicker Monster Truck Show
This high-octane show will feature fan-favorite trucks like Texas Outlaw, Trouble Maker, Monster Moose, American Scout, and Outlaw Wrangler competing in a side-by-side high-speed competition, stunts, and big air jumps. Both shows will feature a Pit Party starting 90 minutes before the event for fans to see the trucks up close and meet the drivers.
When: Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Bossier Mardi Gras Night Market & Parade
The signature night market returns to celebrate Mardi Gras with a special parade at 8 p.m. featuring traditional floats and bead throws. Set to the backdrop of 75,000-plus twinkling lights, attendees can indulge in more than 225 vendors, more than 15 food trucks, kids’ activities, unique food, and more in a pet-friendly environment. This free event also includes an indoor seating area and free parking.

Shreveport Anime Fest
The mecca for anime collectors in northwest Louisiana, Anime Fest is striving to be Louisiana’s best anime convention with a roster of anime industry professionals and fandom-related celebrities for fans to meet and greet. Bulls, Bands, & Barrels
This isn’t your average, old school rodeo, as this live tour fuses high-energy Western sports and live music into a one-of-a-kind Saturday night. From edge-of-your-seat bull riding and barrel racing to heart-pounding bullfighting, the action is front and center with music by Ella Langley and Braxton Keith.
