Soak up the Summer With These July Events in Bossier

July is bringing the heat and a slew of events for locals and visitors to enjoy in Bossier Parish. 

Sidewalk Saturdays

Sidewalk Saturdays hosted by the Bossier Arts Council are all about local art, local artists, and a good excuse to spend a Saturday at the Boardwalk. This rotating outdoor sidewalk art sale features all kinds of beautifully creative chaos with a rotating lineup of artists selling handmade artwork, prints, crafts, jewelry, and more right outside the new location for the BAC.

When: July 4 and 18 from noon to 6 p.m.

Red River Balloon Rally

This annual event returns with outdoor balloon fun and an indoor air-conditioned vendor room. With more than 70 local vendors and makers, kid-friendly activities, live music, and food, it’s a weekend of high-flying fun. The Louisiana State Ballooning Championship begins at dawn and ends with a drone show.

When: July 10 and 11 from 5-10 p.m.

Stained Glass Jewelry Box Class

Create your own custom, hinged jewelry box with beveled glass, tube hinge, chain, and Morton Assembly Tray. The class will also discuss other uses for the Assembly tray and how to make the Lamp, Pencil holder, and Pentagon Ball. Attendees will need to bring their own soldering equipment — solder, flux, brush, and a soldering iron. Please be sure to foil your bevels before the class. You will also need a Morton Assembly Tray for this class.

When: July 11 at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

ARTini 2026 Theme Reveal and Paint Party

The Bossier Arts Council will be announcing the ARTini Theme and featured artist at this event, which is a precursor to their annual fundraiser. Attendees can enjoy quality refreshments and small bites at The Bar at Ridotto inside Live Casino before joining the BAC for Martini Glass Painting. This helps create the iconic painted glassware that ARTini-goers look forward to every year.

When: July 16 from 6-8:30 p.m.

Shop Til You Drop Summer Market

Shop Til You Drop is a large arts, crafts, gift, and boutique shopping event that brings together vendors from across the Ark-La-Tex region for a weekend marketplace focused on handmade goods, specialty products, local businesses, food vendors, and unique gifts. 

When: July 17 from 3-7 p.m. and July 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A-Part Acting Workshop

This free, interactive workshop showcases the artistry of the local acting community. Hosted by the Bossier Arts Council in conjunction with Landrum Arts La Talent Agency, it allows the community to learn a new skill with lessons and exercises to appreciate the art of entertainment.

When: July 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

2nd Annual Bossier City Battle of the Badges Softball Tournament

This community-centered slowpitch softball tournament brings together first responders — police officers, firefighters, sheriff departments, and other public safety teams — along with public/open division teams for a competitive weekend. The tournament is a friendly inter-agency competition and fundraiser, featuring three divisions all competing for a $2,000 cash prize. 

When: July 24-26, starting at 12-4 p.m.
