Summer has arrived in Bossier and there’s no better way to kick it off than an array of events across the area. From food truck festivals and markets to garden tours and reptile shows, there’s something for everyone with these June events in Bossier Parish.
Barksdale Market
The new South Bossier Barksdale Market is open every Sunday through June 16. This free event offers food trucks and more than 45 vendors including market goods, unique food, shopping, food trucks, crafts, jewelry, soap, candles, retail, boutiques, beauty, clothes, tamales, baked goods, and more. It is also pet-friendly so don’t forget to bring your furry friend!

Le Tour des Jardins Garden Tour
The Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners will hold their annual spring garden tour, Le Tour des Jardins. Six homes, including two in Bossier City, will be available to tour while a Garden Bazaar will be held during the tour at the Red River Research Station in South Bossier City, featuring food trucks and vendors. While there, enjoy a tour of the Louisiana Super Plants gardens, a project of the Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners. Mark Wilson, Northwest Louisiana Horticulture Extension agent will be on hand to discuss Louisiana Super Plants and answer any questions.
When: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 1 and 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 2

Music Summer Camp
Willie B Music Group’s very first music camp in Shreveport-Bossier aims to build the next generation of creatives, musicians, singers, and producers while reviving, restoring, and inspiring this young talent in Bossier and Shreveport. Parents, if your child is currently a creative, just starting out, or wanting to give music a try, this is for you and them!

ARTini 2024
Get ready for the 14th annual ARTini fundraiser for the Bossier Arts Council. ARTini celebrates various forms of creative expression and encompasses the culinary, musical, and visual arts by having local mixologists create signature martinis and compete for the coveted title of “Judges Choice,” “People’s Choice,” and “Most M’artisanal.” The funds raised from the event support the Bossier Arts Council’s programming, local artist support, and outreach projects for the entire year. Tickets include entrance to the event, a hand-painted martini glass, live music, food, and a myriad of martinis from the area’s most popular restaurants and bars.

East Bank Food Truck Festival
Get ready for a fun and flourishing Food Truck Festival stacked with multiple deliciously local options provided by the Shreveport Bossier Food Trucks Coalition. Previously announced participants include the Good Cravingz Food Truck with loaded nachos, chicken wings, and twisted lemonades; the Masshole truck featuring lobster rolls, grilled cheeses, and classic burgers; Island Vibez with Jamaican cusine; Yeero-Yeero offering Greek dining options; Big Pit Smoking with BBQ’d meats; Dripp Hot Chicken with spicy chicken; and the Hot Dawg Hut with 100% beef hot dogs, smash burgers, and cheesesteaks.

The Tools w/Elite Deftones Tribute
Hurricane Alley frequently offers music, festivals, and events in the Bossier’s entertainment district and will continue its season with a concert of hard rock from The Tools and Elite.
