Summer is here in Bossier City, and June is packed with events that beat the heat. From live music and family events to outdoor markets and art celebrations, the month is full of opportunities to experience what the community has to offer. These June events are the perfect way to kick off summer in Bossier.
Great Louisiana Fair
The Great Louisiana Fair offers more than 30 state fair-style rides ranging from thrills to family favorites. Kiddieland offers family entertainment, including the Flores Family Circus & Thrill Show, Bubble Foam Show, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, and more. Plus, a midway full of carnival games, prize booths, and classic fair foods adds to the fun.

Nate Bargatze World Tour
Nate Bargatze is currently on the road with his massive Big Dumb Eyes World Tour, with record-breaking ticket sales. The number-one earning comedian in the world currently brings his brand of clean, family-friendly, all-new material to Bossier.

Friday Night Magic
Card game enthusiasts can get together for a game of Magic: The Gathering with the Friday Night Magic. This format of tournaments is held on Friday nights in gaming stores and associations all across the world. They are designed to be a beginner-friendly introduction to organized play.

Sidewalk Saturdays
Sidewalk Saturdays hosted by the Bossier Arts Council are all about local art, local artists, and a good excuse to spend a Saturday at the Boardwalk. This rotating outdoor sidewalk art sale features all kinds of beautifully creative chaos with a rotating lineup of artists selling handmade artwork, prints, crafts, jewelry, and more right outside the new location for the BAC. Come stroll the sidewalk, shop original artwork and handmade goods, meet local creatives, and support the arts right here in our community. In the event of bad weather, vendors will be moved inside our gallery spaces
When: June 6 and 20 from noon to 6 p.m.

Bossier City Gun Show
The Bossier City Gun Show allows enthusiasts to trade for the gun they’ve always wanted while viewing hundreds of displays featuring new and vintage guns, ammunition, gun parts, books, knives, jewelry, camouflage, militaria, and related items. General admission is $10, admission for children 6-11 is $2.
When: June 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

BAC Brew with Karen La Beau
Bring your favorite mug and join the Bossier Arts Council for a cup of coffee in the East Bank Gallery with local artist Karen La Beau. She will lead an intimate discussion about the arts in Bossier City. This casual morning meetup will feature topics of artist support, opportunities, and more.

Louisiana State Tennis Association Men & Women League Championships
Tennis players aged 18 and over from across Louisiana will compete in men’s and women’s doubles for the Louisiana State Championship. For non-players, you will see some of the best recreational players in the state battle it out for free.

The Temptations and Four Tops in concert
Locals can catch the Motown legends The Temptations and The Four Tops together as they celebrate decades of timeless soul, R&B, and pop hits. The Clayton Homes Pet Adoption & Appreciation Day lets you meet your new best friend. This partnership with Bossier City Animal Services and Sunshine Homes, Inc. will help pets and pet owners alike find their fur-ever home. This event will feature pet adoptions, free food, free ice cream, games, giveaways, pet supplies, and more.

This classic auto cruise-in between BeauxJax Crafthouse and Louisiana Classics Auto Club is a fun-filled day celebrating all of the dads out there. Bring out your best “dad outfit” to compete in the “Best Dressed Dad” competition or join the “Man of the House” competition. This natural habitat with displays of classic cars, trucks, and hot rods also features free pulled pork sliders from Pork & Fork BBQ while supplies last.
