The Hangar Taphouse & Kitchen Opens in Bossier
As the culinary scene continues to grow in Bossier City, it’s exciting to discover fresh, innovative restaurants where foodies can indulge in something new. The Hangar Taphouse & Kitchen is a lively new addition to the East Bank District dining scene. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place promises a memorable dining experience with its mouthwatering menu, inviting atmosphere, and live music.
Brandon Drake Nelson, Jason Bogard, and BJ Daniels have teamed up to bring Bossier City a lively new vibe dining experience.
Nelson has worked in restaurants since he was fifteen so when the idea to open a new restaurant was presented, he was eager to jump on the idea.
“I am into the experience of the patron. I say, guest or patron because our guests are not just a number when they dine with us,” said Nelson.
Nelson and his partners want to bring an experience to their patrons.
“We plan to be eclectic and not be a one-trick pony…we are catering to you, ” Nelson said.
Nelson and his partners plan to bring R&B night, Karaoke, Country night, trivia, live music, and much more to The Hangar providing something for patrons of all ages to enjoy.
“When you come here there is no judgment, just a good time and that’s it because you can be anywhere else but you chose to be here with us and we appreciate that.”
The Ambiance
As you step inside the restaurant, you’re immediately greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere with bright lighting, wooden accented furniture, and a stage! This restaurant has a “feel good” vibe. The tables are spaced out well, giving you a sense of privacy without being too distant from other guests. It’s perfect for both intimate dinners and group celebrations.
“Our target audience is whoever wants to have a good time and be happy. We have a night for everyone. We want The Hangar to be a place where you want to come,” said Nelson.
The restaurant prides itself on being the new version of “Cheers” when you come in you feel comfortable and appreciated and everybody knows your name. As the East Bank District continues to grow, Nelson knows the restaurant location is perfect for their success.
The Menu
Nelson, an Arkansas native recognizes that he is in Louisiana and Louisianians are very particular about their foods. The menu at The Hangar has a variety of mouth-watering dishes but with a focus on regional favorites.
“Right now our menu is dedicated to the region. I don’t want to get outside of that and do too much. I want our patrons to be comfortable but I also want to bring in some other things to get a feel for the area. For the most part, I want to respect where we are,” said Nelson.
Some Louisiana favorites you can expect to see on the menu are crawfish tails, southern fried catfish, voodoo pasta, beignets, and much more! No meal is complete without the perfect drink pairing, and The Hangar delivers on this front as well. They offer a carefully curated selection of drinks to complete your meal.
