Lots of Fun Events in Bossier Happening This February!

February is already here, and in Bossier, that means one thing: Mardi Gras! There are plenty of festive events to keep you going through the carnival season this month in Bossier Parish. And, if you need some variety, never fear, as there are concerts, Galentine’s events, and even high school wrestling to keep you entertained this month!
Bossier Parish Student Art Show Opening Reception
The Bossier Parish Student Art Show will showcase works by students across parish elementary, middle, and high schools, as selected by their teachers, between 2025 and 2026. The art show is sponsored by the Department of Art & Visual Culture at Centenary College of Louisiana. These artworks will be on display until March 21.

Galentine’s Night Out
Bring all your friends, dressed to impress, with good vibes, and make it a night to remember at this women-only evening. It is designed to celebrate women, build connection, confidence, and community by uniting style, indulgence, and high-energy fun in a beautifully curated atmosphere. Guests will enjoy an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, photo opportunities, games, curated shopping from local vendors, raffles, giveaways, and a live DJ.

3 Strands Wine at the Ville Wine Tasting
An evening of elegance awaits with the opportunity to explore 50 different wines sourced from across the globe and provided by the restaurants of Margaritaville. This curated, palate-expanding boutique event is for new or seasoned wine enthusiasts and offers a new way to celebrate happy hour, Galentine’s Day, date night, or an evening with friends.

State Wrestling Tournament
Witness the excitement, intense competition, and camaraderie of a thrilling sports weekend at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Championships. Competitors from across the state will descend on Bossier City to battle it out for state title glory over one Saturday.

Krewe of Barkus & Meoux Pet Parade
The Krewe of Barkus & Meoux is offering its traditional day of fun with costumes, cuteness, and carnival spirit at this special Mardi Gras event to make a difference for local animals in need. This pet-friendly event encourages you and your four-legged friends to dress up and enjoy a day out while donating in support of animal rescues in northwest Louisiana. This event benefits programs that aid abused, neglected, and/or homeless animals through veterinary care, food, shelter, and finding new homes for future pets at local animal rescues.

Galentine’s Day
Galentine’s is better together! And there’s no better opportunity to celebrate that than at this lively girls’ night full of crafting, games, snacks, fun, and laughter. Bring your creativity and besties to celebrate friendship, get crafty, and enjoy all the good vibes together at this event.

Krewe of Gemini Float Loading Party
As the first parading Krewe in modern times in Shreveport and Bossier City, the Krewe of Gemini is opening its doors to promote the Mardi Gras spirit. The nonprofit volunteer organization that includes folks from all walks of life will promote the Mardi Gras spirit with its annual up-close look at the floats and bead throws in a family-friendly environment. Attendees can mingle, get a preview of the Krewe’s upcoming parade, grab grub from food trucks, shop the local vendors, and there’s even face painting for the kids.

Fat Tuesday Children’s Parade
This free, family-friendly Mardi Gras celebration is for young children and families looking for the Mardi Gras cheer without large crowds and adult beverages in a fun, but calmer environment. The kid-friendly parade features local krewes, schools, and community groups on a 1-mile route outside of the mall with bead throws and floats.

Rascal Flatts in Concert
The premier country-pop trio is celebrating the end of their hiatus with a tour to mark their 25th anniversary as one of the most successful acts of the 2000s. Known for their massive crossover hits like “Bless the Broken Road” and “What Hurts the Most,” the group has earned dozens of industry awards and sold over 23 million albums.

African American History Parade
Haughton will celebrate African American history with its annual parade. Starting at Haughton High School, this event will continue its legacy of fun with this family-friendly celebration of African American culture, heritage, and history in an afternoon of community pride and unity.

Gene Simmons Band in Concert
Legendary KISS vocalist and bassist, Gene Simmons, is hitting the road and offering a leaner, back-to-basics experience. The tour will feature a mix of KISS classics and deep cuts, solo material, and covers of some rock favorites.

Just because Fat Tuesday has passed doesn’t mean the Mardi Gras season is over!
