Pampering Mom: Check Out These Bossier Businesses Celebrating Mother’s Day

As Mother’s Day approaches, many are looking for meaningful ways to celebrate the women who give so much of themselves every day. In Bossier Parish, two local women-owned businesses are creating intentional spaces where mothers can relax, reset, and feel truly appreciated: Skin Sanctuary and Face2FaceBeat.

Skin Sanctuary: Where Relaxation Meets Results

At Skin Sanctuary, the business’s foundation is deeply personal. Owner Marissa Laws was inspired to become an esthetician because of her own skin journey.

“I’ve struggled with acne from a young age, and even at 12 or 13, I knew I didn’t want to take the traditional dermatologist route,” she said.

Instead, she became fascinated with understanding her skin and learning how to heal it. That curiosity turned into a passion, and through that process, she fell in love with helping others do the same!

“I’ve also always been a very service-driven person. I naturally enjoy doing whatever I can to help people feel better or take something off their plate, so this career felt like the perfect fit,” Laws said.

“One moment that really confirmed this for me was working with my first acne client and being able to help clear her skin. Seeing her confidence start to come back was such a powerful experience. It reminded me why I started in the first place.”

“Over time, my clients have become close friends, and that’s the most rewarding part of this industry. It truly doesn’t feel like work most days. It feels like I get to connect with people, have fun, and make a real impact in their lives,” she said.

More Than Beauty: Creating Space for Moms to Recharge

While they offer many services similar to others in the area, what truly sets Skin Sanctuary apart is the level of care and intention behind every appointment. Everything is customized to the client, and nothing is rushed. You’re getting treatments that are designed to truly improve your skin, but in an environment that feels calm, warm, and restorative. For Mother’s Day, that experience becomes even more meaningful.

“Skin Sanctuary is the perfect place to treat your mom because it gives her something she rarely takes for herself, time to truly slow down and be taken care of,” Laws said.

The Head Spa Everyone Is Talking About

The head spa is such a unique experience because it blends results with deep relaxation in a way you don’t typically see, especially locally. Ultimately, the goal is simple but powerful.

“I want every client to leave feeling relaxed, confident, and genuinely taken care of. For moms especially, I want them to feel like they finally had a moment just for themselves and to be reminded they also deserve the level of respect and love they give to others,” said Laws.

Face2FaceBeat: Confidence Starts in the Haut Seat

Just across the local beauty scene, Face2FaceBeat offers a different yet equally impactful approach to self-care and confidence.

Cindy Manning is the owner of Face2FaceBeat, LLC, where she serves as a makeup artist, the CEO of ConfidentLady Luxurious Hair Company, and ConfidentLady Solutions, which provides free medical wigs to veterans and qualifying insurance applicants. She is your local one-stop shop!

Her journey into the beauty industry came later in life, sparked by curiosity and quickly turning into purpose. When everything shut down during COVID, Manning came across a makeup artist’s video on Facebook.

“I was so impressed by the video and decided to follow along and try it myself. At the time, I was 50 years old and not really into makeup, but I fell in love with the look, and from that moment on, it was history,” Manning said.

She would race home from work (School Teacher) just to play in makeup. Years later, she began doing other women’s makeup.

A One-Stop Beauty Experience for Busy Moms

Face2FaceBeat is more than a salon; it’s an experience. It was built to make beauty convenient, empowering, and complete in one place.

“I watched women spend money in multiple places, receive inconsistent service, and feel frustrated trying to manage their beauty needs. So I built a solution,” Manning said.

For mothers, her services go far beyond appearance.

“From my perspective, professional hair and makeup services are not just about looking good for an event. They are about restoring confidence, practicing self-care, and reminding women, especially mothers, that they matter too,” she said.

Mother’s Day is an opportunity to pause and be poured into. Professional hair and makeup services allow mothers to pause. It becomes a moment to feel seen, valued, refreshed, and confident as you walk into any room. That transformation is at the heart of every appointment with Cindy Manning.

“My mission is to help women feel whole again and stimulate their confidence every day, not just for weddings, birthdays, or pictures,” Manning said.
