Chocolate City Brings Decadent Desserts to Bossier City

Chocolate lovers now have a new destination to satisfy their cravings in Bossier City. Chocolate City, located on Airline Drive, is serving up a menu full of decadent desserts, handcrafted treats, and a welcoming atmosphere that owners hope will become a favorite gathering spot for the community.
From Idea to Reality
Owner Al Husein said the idea for Chocolate City began after seeing the growing popularity of specialty dessert shops and deciding to take a chance on bringing the concept to the area.
“I saw the trend going on and decided to take a shot at it,” Husein said. “At first, I was going to open it with a partner, but when that didn’t work out, I decided to keep moving forward.”
The venture soon became a family effort. Husein partnered with his uncle, who had previously discussed opening a similar concept with him. Together, they brought the vision to life with the help of an experienced team member who had worked in a similar business in New York.
After spotting an available building on Airline Drive, Hussein knew he had found the right location.
“There’s a lot of traffic over here,” he said. “When I saw this building available, I thought it was a great opportunity.”
While the exterior may seem modest, customers are often surprised when they step inside.
“The outside definitely doesn’t look like the inside,” Husein said. “People walk in and immediately say, ‘Wow.’”
Transforming the space was no small task. The team spent months renovating the building, beginning work in November before officially opening in May.
The result is a bright, aesthetically pleasing environment where guests can enjoy desserts and coffee while studying, working, or simply spending time with friends and family.
Quality Ingredients and a Menu Full of Choices
What sets Chocolate City apart from other dessert destinations is its commitment to quality. Husein emphasized that the shop uses premium ingredients, including imported Belgian chocolate, in many of its menu items.
“We use very high-quality ingredients,” he said. “Everything is homemade, from our crepes and cheesecakes to our cakes and specialty desserts.”
The extensive menu offers something for everyone, including crepes, waffles, mini pancakes, shakes, coffee drinks, fruit pastries, smoothies, and the viral Dubai chocolate-covered strawberry cups.
In addition to its signature desserts, Chocolate City is quickly gaining attention for its fresh fruit pastries, which often sell out shortly after being announced on social media.
What to Order on Your First Visit
Currently, the shop’s most popular item is the Dubai strawberry cup.
“We sell about 50 to 60 of those a day,” Husein said.
Crepes are another customer favorite, but Husein encourages first-time visitors not to overlook the mini pancakes.
“They’re delicious and so fluffy,” he shared.
For first-time visitors, Husein recommends trying both the crepes and mini pancakes to experience some of Chocolate City’s most talked-about menu items.
As the business continues to grow, Husein hopes residents will stop by and experience Chocolate City for themselves.
“The only way to know is to come in and try it,” he said.
Chocolate City is currently planning its official grand opening celebration and looks forward to welcoming even more visitors in the coming weeks.
Whether you’re craving chocolate-covered strawberries, handcrafted crepes, specialty shakes, or simply looking for a cozy place to relax, Chocolate City is ready to serve up something sweet.
