Paint Your Pour

Begin March with a creative and fun event for art. This month kicks off the first event for Paint Your Pour. Invite your friends and paint a one-of-a-kind cup or mug. For $15 for one night or $50 for attending all four events, art supplies and instructions will be supplied by the Bossier Arts Council. All proceeds go toward supporting the Bossier Arts Council.

When: 6:30 p.m. on March 1

’90s Block Party

90s block partyLove the ’90s? Enjoy a blast from the past with a concert from a few of your favorite ’90s musicians. CenturyLink hosts Guy featuring Teddy Riley, Jagged Edge, Ginuwine, 112 and Dru Hill. Grab a group of friends and you will be dancing all night to your favorite hits. Tickets are still available.

When: 7 p.m. on March 4

Luncheon – Women in Leadership

March is National Women’s History Month. Locally, the The Commission for Women of Bossier City Inc. will spend an entire week to honor and recognize women in leadership roles. If you can only attend one event, reserve your spot for the luncheon. This mid-week event honors women in leadership roles and provides a great networking opportunity. The event will feature inspiring speakers from the Shreveport-Bossier City community. Tickets are $35.

When: 11:30 p.m. on March 7

Somewhere in Between: A Photography Exhibit

Take a look inside a special exhibit hosted by Bossier Parish Community College. Charlie Corbett will debut his fine art photographs inside the BPCC Learning Commons. Corbett, a BPCC student, will show his first body of photography work at this exhibit. You can learn more about Corbett and his work during the reception at the event.

“Fences”

Directed by August Wilson, this performance shares a story of a father coming to terms with his life. This show is presented by Natural Charms of Arts Productions. Tickets are $21 with a limited amount remaining.

Love a Leprechaun

Who doesn’t love a leprechaun? But, if leprechauns aren’t your thing, you can still wear green and honor the Irish at Flying Heart Brewing. The pub will have a special pot o’ gold scavenger hunt and do a small batch release. Also, enjoy a meal and dessert following the St. Patrick’s Day theme.

When: 11 a.m. on March 17

Cavalier Preview Night

Have questions about becoming a BPCC Cavalier? Join administrative professionals for a question and answer session. Gain information on admissions and the financial aid process. Also, you can get a campus tour. If you have ever considered BPCC, don’t miss a chance to learn more and further your or your student’s education.

Bossier City Makers Fair

Journey out to the Bossier City Makers Fair as the event debuts at the Louisiana Boardwalk. Featuring over 100 vendors, bring the family out for a great day of shopping. The Makers Fair will showcase so many artisans as they offer many unique items for sale. From jewelry to baked goods, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Easter Egg Hunt for Special Needs Children

Participate in Easter fun at the Pierre Bossier Mall. This new event is designed for special needs children to enjoy an egg hunt in a setting that will be quiet and compassionate. Eggs will be filled with candy and toys. Each participant will receive a plush Easter bunny. Register in advance to attend.

When: 9 a.m. on March 25

Seventh Annual Corvette Celebration Car Show

Car enthusiasts will unite at the end of March for the Seventh Annual Corvette Celebration Car Show. This show is known to be one of the largest corvette events in the Ark-La-Tex. Over 100 cars will be there, honoring a variety of models from the classics to the modern corvette. This show is free and open to the public, but all net proceeds will go toward Robinson’s Rescue. It’s one of the best Bossier City events to check out in March.
