“Bossier is growing and expanding in a lot of different ways in this direction and we wanted to be a part of the attraction,” said Tim.
Tim and Timothy, Houston natives turned Louisiana residents, are the two business owners of Kung Fu Tea in Bossier City on Airline Drive. These two brothers have been doing business together for many years. In 2022, Tim and Timothy got the ball rolling with plans to open up Kung Fu Tea on Airline Drive. In May 2024, the two brothers opened the doors to their new venture together. Kung Fu Tea is the first Boba beverage shop in this particular area of Bossier City. Airline Drive has become home to many new businesses and is still growing. This is why the two brothers decided Airline Drive was the best place for their location. Tim and Timothy are excited to open shop in a growing community.
“The tea at Kung Fu Tea is freshly brewed every day, multiple times per day,” Tim said. “You can bet when you receive your tea it will be fresh!”
Tim says this sets Kung Fu Tea apart from other tea shops. Some fan favorites at Kung Fu Tea mentioned by Tim are Kung Fu Milk Tea, the Fruity Flurry, and the Strawberry Lemonade! These beverages are tasty, refreshing, and made-to-order. Kung Fu Tea has many different toppings to choose from for their beverages such as herbal jelly, chia seeds, and brown sugar wow bubbles!

Tim said he and his brother do not know what the future holds but their plan is always to grow and expand their business. Although these brothers are hard at work with their upcoming business in North Bossier, Tim says that he hopes that South Bossier can be home to a future Kung Fu Tea location as well.

KV Nails Spa
KV Nails located at 5450 Airline Drive Ste 200 in Bossier City, is the hottest new nail spa in Bossier City! This luxurious nail spa is owned by Amy, a Bossier resident. Amy says she chose this area for her nail spa because of the business growth Bossier is seeing in the area. As a resident of Bossier City, Amy was able to witness new businesses being built in the area as well as new residential communities being built and KV Nails wants to serve those residents. KV Nails’s aesthetics is like no other. When entering the doors it’s like walking into Barbie’s dream home.
“We have all the pink and girlie stuff,” said Amy. Pink flower walls, fluffy pink pillows, couches, and chairs make the nail spa a girl’s favorite spa. Amy prides herself on a clean welcoming environment.
The nail spa offers a wide range of professional services such as nails, pedicures, and waxing to name a few. Amy said her favorite service to render is the pedicure service. She said her massage chairs are very comfortable which creates a relaxing pamper experience for the customer.
Although walk-ins are welcomed at the location, appointments can be booked on the nail spa’s website. Customers can schedule appointments and choose their technicians for the service.

Casa Jimador
“You know there are a lot of different Mexican restaurants opening up in Bossier. Every time we open up a business we try to grow from what we have learned…we offer traditional Mexican food but we have also learned to offer other options,” says owner Miguel Gutierrez.
Restaurant owner, Miguel Gutierrez, opened the doors of Bossier City’s newest Mexican restaurant, Casa Jimador on Feb. 20, 2024. Casa Jimador in North Bossier offers an upscale restaurant aesthetic. Miguel says that his decision to offer more than traditional Mexican dishes and the interior of the restaurant sets Casa Jimidor apart.
“We have steak, fish plates, mango habanero salmon, tropical salad, cilantro rice, Brandy apple pie and so much more to offer,” said owner Miguel Gutierrez.
Casa Jimidor also has an extra helper at the restaurant, “The Robot.” When you dine at Casa Jimador you will see a robot delivering food to tables. Not only can the robot deliver food to tables it can also deliver drinks and host!
“We thought it would be a help to expedite our service with customers,” said Gutierrez.
Miguel knew that Lagniappe Plaza would be a great place to open Casa Jimador.
“My family and I moved to Bossier and we wanted to do something close to home,” said Miguel.
North Bossier is growing and Miguel wanted to get in on the growth of the area. The community has enjoyed having Casa Jimador in Bossier.
Esteisy, a server at the restaurant said, “Miguel is the best boss. Although he is the owner, he is no stranger to jumping in and lending a hand to serve customers.”
